The Amarillo S. P. C. A. started more than 20 years ago, and has moved and changed quite a lot since the beginning. For some time we were even without a shelter, forcing our animals into the loving care of those who were able to foster.
 
    In 2003, we moved to a small building on the corner of 3rd & Lincoln, next to downtown Amarillo, which was certainly better, but still, there was room for improvement. Finally, we found our wonderful forever home at 11901 S. Coulter. Our shelter now has 53 kennel runs, 12 puppy cages, 5 exercise yards, and room for about 30 cats!
